Eat dropped items in an open area around them (will not eat through blocks such as a fence so your items are safe if they are on the other side of a block)
Uses and Taming[]
Goats can be tamed by right-clicking with an apple, melons, or wheat.
A goat, tamed or untamed, will eat dropped items around it, so becareful when a goat is in the area, and be sure to put them in some kind of a pen so they do not go around eating stuff you drop but do not want them to eat :) (perfect garbage disposals)
